October 2002 two SLKs braved the elements and showed up on a rainy Saturday morning at a restaurant in a Seattle suburb just across Lake Washington . It was an ideal location for a meet: close to 3 freeways, lots of covered parking to protect our cute little cars from the winter weather and old fashioned car hops to serve us coffee and lunch. November 3 SLKs showed. December there were four. And the rest is history.

Rain or shine, year around, Seattle area SLK enthusiasts come out to chat about our cars, the differences in the models, after-market upgrades, problem solving, idiosyncrasies, service comparisons, etc. Sometimes it’s just for coffee and planning events, sometimes we take a scenic drive and end up at a restaurant for lunch. One by one we have new cars come out, take photos of all the SLKs which show (along with their owner) and put them into a SLK Photo Album.

We average 18-20 events a year. It may be a coffee meet, a day trip, an over nighter or a full blown 3-4 day weekend drive. We've had trips to Canada, Oregon and Idaho as well as many scenic fun weekends within Washington. This summer we are heading to Crater Lake, Oregon.

If you are between 25 and 85, are single, married or attached, male or female AND have a passion for your SLK as we do (several of us are on our 2nd SLK, one guy has owned 4!) we invite you to check our calendar frequently and show up at any meet/event! ~OR~ Send an email to yellowslk@hotmail.com so you can be added to the growing list of enthusiasts!
